Pointing to IP when registering for events
April 24, 2012, 08:23:30 pm
Hello,

I've been developing a Drupal website for the last few months and it has been assigned to an IP address. I use CiviCRM to take donations and create events. Loving Civi by the way! But I ran into a problem today when going live. When visiting the domain name the donations piece works with the domain, and the events listing displays all the events with the domain, but when choosing to register for an event the IP still displays. I've been debating change the base path in civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend?reset=1 but I don't want to nuke Civi. Can anyone please guide me in the right direction on how to change the "Register" button from IP to domain? I'm using CiviCRM 4.1 with Drupal 7.

Thank You,
Jason

And added note. When the register URL appears I can type the domain in the it works. Is this a "Resource URL" setting change?

Check the URL in civicrm.settings.php. Look for CIVICRM_UF_BASEURL and see what it's set to.

It's still set to the IP address in the civicrm.settings.php. Is this where I make the change?
