Taking offline payments for events
February 21, 2008, 08:04:20 am
I went through the Setup Payment Processor route. I don't actually want to run the whole process, I just want them to be able to register for an event or membership type and be charged ... Then pay Cash / Cheque or Credit Card over the phone.

Can anyone point me to the right way to do this please? I have searched around a fair bit on here and not found what I am looking for yet.

I'm using Drupal 5.6

Thanks for any assistance .

Cheers,

Adam

There is a "Pay Later" feature that we've introduced in 2.0. Note that there is "no charging" done on registration, and their status is pending till they are confirmed by an admin. You might want to test this feature out on our demo site

Thank you for your reply. I am wondering what your road map is for a stable release of 2.0? Will I be able to set this up to default to the pay later method without having to have an account with one of the payment services?

Cheers

Check: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRM/CiviCRM+v2.0

For 2.0, pay later only works in conjunction with a payment processor. we'll eliminate this requirement in a future release.
