If you can reproduce this on the demos, can you please provide the exact steps for us to also reproduce?

Thank you.

Hi,

Go to your CiviCRM 4.1 Drupal Demo Site.

1- Click on "Contribution" then click on "Manage Contribution Pages"
2- There is 3 contribution you may try any or all of them
3- Their is a menu for each contribution, click on the "Configure"  then click on "Contribution Widget"
4- On the Configure Widget page click on the "Save and Preview" button
5- You will be sent to an Error Page asking you

"Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
We experienced an unexpected error. Please post a detailed description and the backtrace on the CiviCRM forums: http://forum.civicrm.org/"

Let me know if i'm mistaking

Interesting. The first time I click Save and Preview it works fine and I see the preview.

However if I click it again then I indeed see the error same as you. I tried it again and now I get a partial CiviCRM page, with no error, but no content nor menus either.

I have filed a bug: http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-10178

Thank you.

Hershel - I'm not able to recreate this on either the 4.1 Drupal demo NOR on my own 4.1 sandbox :-(

I've tried several flows / steps / patterns - no luck. Went to each contribution page - Widgets tab - and clicked Save and Preview button repeatedly. For example, at this URL:
http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/contribute/widget?reset=1&action=update&id=2

... no errors.

Wondering if it's some other setting / condition that triggers the error. Hoping you can recreate it and give me the steps so we can try and debug / fix.

I'm getting the same error on the widget creation page and any other page after that where I need to save the progress. Without this I can't complete the process of having a full contribution setup.

I'd love to know if anyone has a fix for this?

I recreated it very easily right now:

I went to

http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/contribute/widget?reset=1&action=update&id=1

checked "Enable Widget?" and clicked Save.

Worked fine.

I clicked Save again and I got a blank page.

Hmm - seems like there's some (non-default) configuration state the triggers this problem. Tried to recreate again on the demo this morning (10:00am PDT) and did not get the error. Tried on the sample contribution page:

http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/contribute/widget?reset=1&action=update&id=1

... and create a new page as well.

http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/contribute/widget?reset=1&action=update&id=4

Can one of you try and narrow down the config state when this happens (i.e. language other than english, multi-language, alternate date format, multi currency, ??? ). If you can recreate it  - enable debug and backtrace and drupal watchdog logging (http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/setting/debug?reset=1)  to see if there's useful errors in the watchdog log. If you can recreate it locally, also check the apache logs.

I just went there this second in Chromium and clicked Save and got back the empty page. Maybe it's Chrome? This is 10 minutes after your post....

Yes it is. I tried now in FF and it worked fine.

Downloaded Google Chrome (didn't have it installed) on my Mac. Version 19.0.1084.46. Went to the sample contribution page widget tab.

http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/contribute/widget?action=update&reset=1&id=1

Clicked Save (upper right button) as well as several others. Still not seeing the blank page ??? Hoping you can do some debugging / diagnostics on your side (on a local install) since I'm not able to recreate this.

Yep for me Chrome (Linux version) is working fine now also. OK, I will try to isolate what makes this happen if I can.

I have similar problems on CiviCRM 4.4.2 on Drupal 6.

I get the following reply from a custom error page:

Permission denied error 403.

Requested page:
/civicrm/admin/contribute/widget

Referring URL:
http://www.mydomain.org/civicrm/admin/contribute/widget?reset=1&action=update&id=1

I've reviewed my user permissions and they seem to be correct.
