Missing Icons/Images for 3.1.5 to 4.1 upgrade in Drupal CMS
May 04, 2012, 03:14:04 pm
We just upgraded to 4.1.2 from 3.1.5 in Drupal 7.  The Resource URL's do not seem to want to accept the value that the help/tooltip indicates.  If we use the format http://www.ourdomain.com/sites/all/modules/civicrm/ it then displays a bunch of broken links to icons, etc in the admin.  That is the absolute URL path to the CiviCRM installation though so it doesn't make any sense.

How do we fix the URL paths for Resource URL's so they actually work.

Please advise.

Thanks!

You can go to http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend?reset=1 and fix broken stuff.

Hi Kurund and thank you.

I tried that link (with my domain), but it won't save my changes.  The domain setting is using a temporary subdomain that I set up to facilitate the migration and won't save the live URL. To be clear, it appears as if the page is saving successfully but if you load that URL again to see if the settings took affect, they are still listing the old settings.

Beyond that, it didn't actually fix the broken links.

Honestly, I'm not sure that I have yet to have a successful upgrade experience from about the last CiviCRM 3.0.x or 3.1.x series forward.  The resource URL's started breaking with the various sites where we manage CiviCRM and they don't ever seem to accept the correct settings.

This is a plain unaltered CiviCRM 4.1.2 in a Drupal 7.12 install.  What can I do to fix the resource URL's issue?

subscribing... upgrade has never worked out the box for me either. tricky process. in the end i went a clean install and migrated the data each time. did you manage to fix the broken images issue? I couldn't find the correct path (4.2 on Drupal 6)
