Issue with bridge to OrganicGroups

I am running CiviCRM 4.1.2 under Drupal 6. I am also using Organic Groups version 2.1

When the CiviCRM-provided module "CiviCRM OG Sync" is active, I get the following error message whenever I try to save a contact record.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function og_membership_create() in  /sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Bridge/OG/CiviCRM.php on line 99

I noticed a related forum post at: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=22803.0 but did not see any resolution other than disabling the OG Sync module.

Any ideas?

anybody ? I still have similar problems with 4.2.2 on Drupal 6.    :'(

When making a change in a group membership for a user via civicrm, I get the following error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function og_membership_create() in .../sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Bridge/OG/CiviCRM.php on line 95   

Upgrading to version 7 is no option for us at this point.
Any help would be appreciated.   :)
