[Repost] Can't create Drupal user from Individual Contact

 ??? I posted this a few weeks back and got no response. I'm reposting the hope someone can help out.

Using Drupal 6, Civi 4.1.2, while logged in as administrator I get an error when I try to create a Drupal User using the Action drop-down in an Individual Contact record.

Clicking on the Create User Record link brings up the form to create a Username and password, and correctly checks the availability of the user name.

However when I click the Add button I get an error "This email is already registered. Please select another email."

This happens with any Individual record I choose, and I have checked my Drupal users to make sure that the email is not registered to an existing Drupal User.

Am I misunderstanding something obvious?

1. Can you try this on the demo server and see if u can reproduce this

2. If i had to guess, i suspect this might be a bug with the D6 + Civi integration. Any chance u can take a look and help fix it?

Hi Lobo
Neither the D6 or D7 demo servers have the Create User Record action in the dropdown on the contact page   :(
And sadly anything to do with code is out of my league.

Perhaps someone smarter and who needs the functionality could step up....?
