CAPTCHA in CiviContribute using CiviCRM 1.9 and Drupal 5.4
February 22, 2008, 10:17:47 am
We are having some problems with spam bots on our site. We have installed the CAPTCHA modules for Drupal to protect our Drupal forms, but now we need to have the same protection on our CiviContribute forms. I have successfully configured the CAPTCHA settings in CiviCRM and enabled the "Include CAPTCHA" feature on one of the profiles we use on the CiviContribute form (we use two, I believe). When I view that profile on its own I see the CAPTCHA, but when I look at the same profile embedded into the CiviContribute form I do not see the CAPTCHA.

Does anyone know how to get the CAPTCHA to show up on a CiviContribute page?

Can you try to reproduce this issue on our demo server. If reproducible, please file an issue. I suspect we'll fix it in 2.1

thanx

I made a profile called CAPTCHA_test on the Demo server and I got the 'Fontfile not found error'. If the demo server could be configured to use CAPTCHA then I could probably re-produce it.

I fixed the font issue on demo. I also tested the contrib case and looked at the code :) This is a missing feature. Please file and issue and we'll fix it in a 2.x release

If important to you, please consider contributing a patch along with the issue. That will definitely help get the fix in for 2.1 :)
