Upgrading ckeditor
May 15, 2012, 06:15:36 am
Hi all,
I've been trying to upgrade ckeditor on our Drupal installation over the past 24 hours.  Initially it looked all good.  I followed the upgrade instructions on the ckeditor website.   In Drupal is worked perfectly but when I followed the same instructions in the CiviCRM packages folder it seems to have somehow corrupted the install.

The editor comes up ok but when I click on the Image button on the toolbar to add an image I just an opaque white screen overlay and nothing else.   Seems to be the same story no matter which button I click on.

Has anyone here upgraded their ckeditor within CiviCRM and can they advise if there are any special steps?

We're using Drupal 6.2x and CiviCRM 3.4.8.

Thanks in advance for any help

Hershel

You followed the instructions to update CKeditor in Drupal to upgrade it on CiviCRM?

I do not think you can do that actually. :(

Ok! Yeah I did because for all intensive purposes it seemed logical but as my experience has shown - obviously not!!
If you know how you upgrade ckeditor for Civi would really love to hear how it's done.  Got a very angry client who switched browsers to Chrome as a short term fix because of a Drupal authentication issue but now they can't really use Chrome because the ckeditor popup window doesn't work in the older versions!!!
