Warning: Failed to open stream, Error on line 69
May 16, 2012, 10:48:24 am
After finishing the CiviCRM 4.1 install on our Wordpress 3.3.2 new installation I get these two
errors When I select CiviCRM settings after activating the plugin.

Warning: include******/public_html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/install/index.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/*****/public_html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm.php on line 69

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/******/public_html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/install/index.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/*****/public_html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm.php on line 69

I have checked the owner permissions and they are read, write and execute on the CiviCRM directory under plugins.

I noticed on April 3rd someone else had a similar problem but I'm not sure that the fix  applies to us also.

The install procedure went smoothly?

Can you post your PHP and MySQL versions?

Thanks for the quick reply, MYsql version is 5.5.21 , PHP version is 5.2.17 hosted by Hostgator,

but I think I found the issue, I just don't know how to fix it. When I originally installed CiviCRM I had the directory inside another directory called Civicrm. When I uploaded the files I notices the error and I eliminated the redundant directory.

But, it looks like CiviCRM has the call to it in a file somewhere (as it shows in the error report) and now that the duplicate folder is gone it doesn't want to load.

But how do I fix it? It's probably less work to just delete the install and upload it again. Or is it?

Not sure. You could try to run

civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend&reset=1

and see if that helps.
