Civi 3.4.8 and Drupal Views 2 - City Field

If an organization in the db has no city, it won't show in the view. The city field in views does not seem to have an option to allow the exposed filter to be optional. Please advise.

Best advice would be to first upgrade to CiviCRM 4.1.2, if that's possible. Also to Views 3.

I upgraded to Civicrm 4.1.2 and I am still having the problem. Views field does not show "optional" for city. Thus, all records without a city don't show. Its very limiting to us.

I have a few fairly complex views built in Views 2. I can consider upgrading, but it would be nice to know it would provide a fix so its not a waste of time. Any other advise? Are the views 2 -> 3 updates problematic concerning civicrm fields, etc.

EDIT: We are also using the Calendar module for D6 which seems to not have a Views 3 compatible version. Also, Ubercart Views remains unclear if it works with Views3 on D6.

Would someone be willing to assist in getting the city field "optional", so we can search through records without cities? The state field seems to do this just fine.
