{event.location} token in CiviMail Event Reminder

We use event reminders for our bi-weekly board meetings.  I finally have the reminders going out to the board members, but am finding that the {event.location} token is not getting replaced with the location info from the event.  It's just blank.  Not sure exactly where to begin troubleshooting.  I do use the {event.start_date} token in the message and it works properly.  Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
