Contribution Pages Need Administrative Title or Description Field
May 21, 2012, 08:00:04 pm
Civi Folk,

I want to be able to easily track contributions coming from links on the organization web site versus contributions made by clinking links in CiviMail blasts. It seems like the easiest way to do that would be to have two different contribution pages, one that is linked to from the web site, the other linked to from email blasts.

In other ways, though, the two contribution pages are identical, and I much appreciated the ability to clone an existing contribution page.

The problem I'm having is that I want the title that the end user sees to be the same, while having an admin title or description for use in reports (e.g. "web linked donation page" and "email blast linked donation page"). But there is no field available for that.

For now my workaround has been to call one, "Donate to Example Organization" and "Contribute to Example Organization." But that is less transparent and might be confusing, especially if there are staff changes.

Is there a way to do this? Or is this a feature request? Or am I thinking about this the wrong way?

Thanks,

Shai Gluskin
