not all people who register for event have registered on sql database/civi

Event set up and online registration works. The event all has a profile on it including first name and surnme.

In the email confirmation the person is told they have registered but it hasn't gone against their name on the database.

Also ont he email confirmation it just says ARRAY against the first name and ARRAY against surname as if the person has filled in the profile but it has not worked/gone into the database.

What could be stopping the event being registered agianst a person?

is the sort of thing you would see if you had customised the message templates against a previous version of CiviCRM & some changes had happened which meant your changes were no longer current

Hi Eileen
Thanks for your response.
I wondered if the ARRAY meant it was looking for data that was not there i.e. it was not there to send the email from because the data was not inserted into the database.
I have not amended any of the message templates  - I'm not that clever :)

I'm goign to put this as a new issue but in case anyone else ends up here....the people who do not show up are deleted contacts. I deleted them and then reuploaded then when I created the civicrm. Why the registration has ended up on the deleted contact and not the current contact I do not know yet.

Please do add this as an issue, it sound like there is a little bug that does not take the deleted contacts into consideration. Can you post a link to the issue here?
Thanks!
