Event Reminders Not Working, Please Help!

Hi,

I am new to the boards so i apologise if i have added this topic to the wrong place, but I am desperate for help! Our small charity started using Civi and it has been great but for some reason, scheduled reminders are not working.

I have set up the reminders (have tried in the events configuration screen and via Administer>Communications etc.) I have set them up and tried lots of different combinations but when the scheduled job runs, no emails ever send .

The job log says:

Finished execution of Send Scheduled Reminders with result: Success (1)
Details

Parameters parsed (and passed to API method):
a:1:{s:7:"version";i:3;}

Full message:
Finished execution of Send Scheduled Reminders with result: Success (1)

But no emails have been sent. We have to run the scheduled jobs manually each day, as we don't know how to set up a Cron job on our server (we do have access to do it). We are running Civi 4.1.1. on Joomla 1.7.2 Hosting is by siteground.

I AM DESPERATE FOR HELP ON THIS!!! and would really appreciate the assistance of you guys the experts!

We are only a very small charity and I can do "basic" setting and fixes if someone can point me in the direction. Or if its more complex and someone can log into our Civi for us to help me with this event reminder problem and cron job,  I would willingly pay out of my own pocket.

Please help, I have no where else to turn!

Did you ever get this working properly?  I too am having issues with event reminders.  Had it working with the exception of  the event location token, applied the patch http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,24680.msg104134.html#msg104134 and reminders just stopped. 

My cron job is working and System Settings is showing that the job has run for Reminders, but email are not being sent.  When I view the Schedule Reminders, I can see that my Reminder is Active.

We've been doing without, but would really like to get this working properly.  May need to just hold out until 4.2.

Are you on 4.1.5? Might want to upgrade if not. I think we've fixed most issues with that release

No, currently running 4.1.0.  When I went to dl the current version, was confused as Looking for Latest Version link said Download for Drupal 7 Only and it was still 4.1.0.  Will upgrade to 4.1.5 tonight and will attempt to scheduled reminder tomorrow morning and will update.

CiviCRM 4.1.5 Solved all Reminder Issues for ME!!!

great :)

would really help if you beef up the documentation on scheduled reminders and do a blog post describing it etc so more folks would use it
