I need help to set right or debugg mass mailing.
We are not able to send mass mails.
And when we add an email in subscribe link (http://www.amable.in/civicrm/mailing/subscribe) - no email is received. However the contacts record shows PENDING status against the "test" group.

We are able to send individual emails as activity to contacts
Cron job is working perfectly as we are able to IMAP incoming mails from gmail account.
For mass mailing - Everything seems to be perfect as per the documentation guide
i.e.
Email system configuration page
and the Set-up page under MAIL section

I have also tried both Mail() and SMTP option.

When i try to do a group mailing the Mailing using Mail() - the report shows
Bounce Type Syntax
Bounce Reason mail() returned failure

When i try to do a group mailing the Mailing using SMTP - the report shows
Failed to set sender: b.15.15.cc7ae4144cb4efa9@ [SMTP: Invalid response code received from SMTP server while sending email.

both Mail() and SMTP are working in test mode.

I have contacted my host and they have also checked everything and they say everything is fine.

I have tried a lot of combinations and went through the most posts on this topic on this forum - but not able to send group mail..

Your host mailer is refusing to send an emil which has a verp address: b.15.15.cc7ae4144cb4efa9@

Might want to get them to relax those restrictions and/or choose a mailing service which allows the above

My Hosts replied hence:

After logging into the CRM and going to Home » CiviCRM » Administer » CiviCRM CiviMail Component Settings, I found the setting Track Replies using VERP. I made sure it was deselected. From doing a few google searches, thats the best place I can find that will disable VERP.

So after Disabling VERP as above - i tried a mailing - still gettign bounced status with the following error
sendmail returned error code 1

This just happened to me a bounce with a Bounce Type of Syntax. I found this thread.

I sent out a newsletter to 5 contacts (all me using various email addresses). Interestingly the only two that bounced were to addresses on the same domain that I was sending from.

The other three contacts had email addresses to other domains than the one I sent from, and I got all of those.

Curious.

(Not complaining or saying I have a problem, just commenting.  )
