Override "View" Link on Public Profile

I have made a member-directory in views, but I want to use a Civi profile for Proximity Searches because it works well. Can I override the "View" link to go to my view?

/member_detail/[contact-id]

I dont think there is a hook associated with modifying the links. However i do think it might be a good idea to make all the "action links" hookable. Would you be interested in working on adding this hook? If so, ping us on IRC
