CiviCRM incompatible with Microsoft Exchange?
May 31, 2012, 07:28:37 am
I configured a profile to notify me at work AND at my personal gmail address when the form is submitted. My work email is hosted on Microsoft Exchange. We had our first form submission yesterday, and I was notified in gmail, but not at work. Does CiviCRM not work with Microsoft Exchange at all?

CiviCRM works well with any properly configured mail server. This tend to exclude outlook, where for instance the most "efficient" anti-spam mesure is to throw away any mail received that has the same domain name as the server.

so if you have configured civi to sends from info@example.org and you receive it for your mailbox john.doe@example.org, it will trash it.

I'm told there is a way to configure exchange to make it almost work like a sane mail server, but haven't looked at it.
