Top of Page CiviCRM Profile on Event Registration
June 01, 2012, 05:01:56 am
I am on Civi 3.4.8 with Drupal 6, and when I create an event and assign a profile to top of page, it still shows after the event registration information (price sets, etc). Is there a weight setting in a table somewhere I need to adjust? This site was recently upgraded from 3.1.

I found this bug report http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-6251 which changed the wording for 3.1, but since the wording in 3.4 says

"Include additional fields on this registration form by configuring and selecting a CiviCRM Profile to be included at the top of the page (immediately after the introductory message)"

I am assuming that this is indeed supposed to show up above pricesets, etc.

Thanks much for the help!

hey lobo --

what should i be trying to change? attached is screenshot of my uf_join table 2 entries that correspond to the profile I want to be at the top above pricesets. I tried messing with weights in UI and in db and it doesn't change anything. thanks again for the help,

emily

Not sure whats happening, but there have been a few issues with ordering and placement of profiles in older releases

Any chance u can upgrade to 4.1.2?

unfortunately we can't upgrade at this time because of a dependency on civievent_discount and the discounts extension at this time just isn't giving us the functionality we need.

if there is anything else i can try to get this specific profile to show up above the event priceset that would be great -- is it possible to modify the priceset weight or else maybe the tpl output or am i on the wrong track?

You could look at the tpl files or consider using jQuery to fix this: http://civicrm.org/blogs/dave-greenberg/now-its-easier-add-custom-behaviors-templates and http://civicrm.org/blogs/hershel/how-customize-civicrm-pages-jquery

I was for some reason so set on this being a db weight issue that I didn't check the template. It's a bug/issue in the template. Moving it above hte priceset is all that needs to happen. But the jquery fix is good too and will do the trick. Thanks.
