Report on contributions by smart group

I would like to report on the contributions made by those individuals from a certain Class year. I can use Search Builder to find these folks and create a Smart Group but now I would like to generate a report showing their contributions. I realize that I can do this by writing SQL and going directly into the db but is there another way?
