Expose Custom Data Field (or Set) Help when not editing
June 06, 2012, 07:45:34 am
There is some information I'd like to show on the contact summary page about the information stored in a particular custom data set.  I thought I could use the Custom Data Set Pre-Form or Post-Form Help, or perhaps the Pre or Post Help for a particular field, but as far as I can tell, these all only show when the form is being edited, not when it is in display view.  Is there a way to include any descriptive text that shows when the form is not being edited?

If not, would you be open to a patch to expose at least the pre-form help? If you point me in the right direction I think I could do that.

You may have to customize a template to accomplish that. Or depending on the nature of what you want to show, you may be able to use the API via JS to add your data to the page.
