Personal campaign pages problems
June 07, 2012, 06:57:01 am
I have been trying to setup personal campaign pages for events & contributions.  First let me say what I observed after I reviewed the PCP stuff on the civi sandbox site.  http://sandbox.drupal.civicrm.org/civicrm/contribute/campaign?action=add&reset=1&pageId=1&component=event

First I enabled personal campaigns for one of the contribution pages (Help Support CiviCRM!) and select the "Supporter Profile".  I then log out of civicrm and view & submit the contribution form.  This brings me to the confirmation/receipt page where I can then click the button to create the personal campaign.  I am brought to a page that first asks me to enter in a Username and fill out the "Supporter" profile fields.  What I am interested in here is the Username field.  There is an option to check availability for the username and an option to first login to an existing account.  This feature, I believe, is so users creating a PCP can then log back in and view/edit/delete their PCP.

What I am having problems with is on my installation of civicrm v4.1, I don't get this option to create a new account or log into an existing account on the PCP page, all I get are the "Supporter" profile fields.  I compared the configuration settings from my installation to the demo sandbox and it all appears to be correct.  Am I missing something here?  What do I have to do to enable this feature, so that PCP creators can sign in/sign up the same way it works on the sandbox.

Would the CiviCRM OG Sync or CiviCRM Rules Integration civicrm modules have anything to do with this?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Edit: I've managed to fix this issue, it was a user configuration setting in the drupal configuration options.  To allow visitors to register for an account.

My only issue now is there is no field here to set a password.  The user would have to select the "Forgot Password" option to receive an email and set the password that way.  Is there a better way to do this?  Also, when this type of user logs into civicrm, there is no way to view their PCP.  Is this just a permissions settings, to allow certain users access to the campaign modules?

Nevermind, I see in one of the emails there is a direct link to log in and set the password.  And another link to view the PCP config page.

Ignore this post for now unless I can find a way to remove it.
