PayPal Standard contribution page not functioning past
June 07, 2012, 08:15:25 am
I have payment processor set up with PayPal Standard, I used my PayPal account email address and left all the other values their default.

I set up a simple contribution page using this payment processor.  From the "manage contribution pages"  I test the page using the link (live page or test drive produce the same results).

The contribution page will let you one screen 1, select your amount and press confirm contribution. On screen 2, it shows your amount and email adress and when you press continue it then shows you a totally blank page.

I then set up a separate contribution page, used a dummy payment processor and it worked just fine.

Any idea how I can test the paypal payment processor contribution page and figure out what is not working?

Hi Rachel,

If it is a totally blank white page, then there is some kind of PHP fatal error. You will need to get into your webserver error logs to get the exact error. Can you post back with that error?

You are correct! Thank you I wasn't sure where I could begin looking for errors/bugs.

The error is:

PHP Fatal error:  require_once() [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required 'wp-includes/pluggable.php' (include_path='.:/home1/my-site-paths/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/:/home1/my-site-paths/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm//packages:.:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php:/usr/share/pear') in /home1/my-site-paths/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm.php on line 327

So I can see it isn't referencing my site correctly.  I think I can use the Cleanup Caches and Update Paths tools, but am unsure what should be in the fileds.

The new base directory is prompting me to use: /home1/my-site-paths/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/files/
is that correct?

The old Base URL is: (with the http and www at front) sitename.org/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/
and it is prompting me to use: (with the http and www at front) sitename.org/
which of these is correct?

hmm, it looks like a similar error reported on this topic:

http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=23988.0

are you using the same plugin they report using, simple facebook connect? it may be another plugin too so you might need to try disabling other plugins and seeing if that fixes it. please report back if this fixes it to help others who may encounter this.

as far as your urls go, you may actually have it set correctly considering the rest of civi pages seem to be working but it never hurts to check. you can double check both your 'directories' and your 'resource urls'.

they are both under Administer > system settings

Resource urls should reflect the http path, so if your site is called www.mysite.com it will likely be:
http://www.mysite.com/wp-content/etc etc

and then for directories you need the server path so it's whatever that is

/home1/my-site-paths/wp-content etc etc
