script errors
June 08, 2012, 09:24:57 am
Hello,
I am getting the following errors in Firebug (first image) and Google tools (second image) relating to an undefined Document function (Ready), and then other errors that "cj" is not defined.

This is resulting in two symptoms:

1) in Firefox, a member listing profile does not show up at all.

2) In Chrome, the member listing displays, but the hover action is not invoked when mousing over the contact's avatar.
Also, in Chrome, on a member registration (Contribution) page, when checking a check box that should display other fields when checked, the other fields do not show.   Specifically this is when I check the "I am the primary contact for my organization" check box.  It should then drop down and display name fields for the primary contact, but it does not work. (see third attached image - next post)

Running Joomla 2.5.4 and CiviCRM 4.1.2

Thanks for your assistance!
Craig

Update:  I am using a Joomla module called JQuery Easy to allow my JoomlArt Mega Menu drop downs to work with CiviCRM.  With JQuery Easy, and using JQuery v 1.7x, the drop down menus would work and I could display a CiviCRM member list.
However, as I progressed in building the site, this prevented all of the online member registration fields from showing (resulting in the "cj" errors shown in the previous post images.  After two days of banging my head, I remembered I had the JQuery Easy plugin on.  Turning that off allows my member registration page to display all fields.
However, I am back to the problem of the Mega Menu drop downs not working on pages that have CiviCRM forms.  In research, I saw there is a "jquery_update" patch.  Would this possibly fix my issue?  Will it work with Joomla 2.5.4 and CiviCRM 4.1.2 ?

Any other ideas?  This is the last issue preventing the site from going live.

Thanks,
Craig

Can anone respond to the question of whether jquery_update would fix the situation I am encountering with jquery conflicts?

Thank you,
Craig

might be a lot easier and faster if you just apply the "jquery_update" patch and see if it helps. I suspect most people here dont use mega menu and have not hit the issues u r encountering
