CIVICRM Contacts in Views-filter for contact B not producing any results
June 15, 2012, 01:42:40 pm
We just completed an upgrade in Drupal 6 to CIVICRM 4.1.3 - mostly to correct a few errors with the state field in our old CIVI version. Now that the state field is searchable and auto-populating correctly using webforms connector and in several existing Views, I just noticed that a different search filter in an existing CIVICRM Contacts Views is not working. The issue seems to be with the established Relationship between Contact A (employee of) and Contact B (employer of). This particular CIVICRM Contacts Views page is our members' only directory. All other exposed filters from CIVICRM are working great (last name, city, state, country, email - all searchable in the Views). The filter is "CIVICRM Contact B:CIVICRM Display Name" and it is set to Relationship to "CIVICRM Contact B" and "contains any word"...exposed. Searching on this filter produces no results for User 1, member...everyone gets the same result- nothing. Any ideas? Definitely worked before recent CIVICRM upgrade...The Relationship is Contact ID A = Employee of; and Contact ID B = Relationship with Contact A and Identifier Contact B with "choose a specific relationship = Employee of". This hasn't changed at all from when it worked before the upgrade. Thanks so much for any help you are able to offer.

Re: CIVICRM Contacts in Views

Does anyone have any advice for this one? The vendor working on the project is no longer working on it and unfortunately the mistake wasn't caught until after they finished. I have asked for their help fixing this issue since only they know how and why they set it up the way they did originally - but I am not hopeful for a response. I know Drupal very well but not as up on CIVI specific issues...thanks...
