Errors with installing civi to Wordpress...
June 16, 2012, 02:19:57 pm
Can I create temporary tables in the database   Unable to create temporary tables. This MySQL user is missing the CREATE TEMPORARY TABLES privilege.
Can I create lock tables in the database                   Could not create a table.

Is the /home/sites/website/public_html/wp-content/plugins/files folder writeable?   The user account used by your web-server - URL - needs to be granted write access to the following directory in order to configure the CiviCRM settings file:
//home/sites/website/public_html/wp-content/plugins/files

Everything else was fine.

Also your Captcha is infuriating...

You should ask your host to grant the DB user those permissions and also open up the permissions for that directory. Then it will install.

Sorry about that. Due to a lot of spam, however, the admins felt it was necessary to implement a more aggressive Captcha. Thanks for taking the time to pass it. :)

Hi Hershel, sorry for the long wait, completely forgot I posted this.  ;D Came back to post again but found my thread on the first page... D'oh.

Is this something that I can do myself with access to MySQL or does it have to be done by my host, I have the website hosted on a reseller account so have most of the Admin capabilities.

Do you know exactly what CHMOD the plugins/files folder needs? It's currently set to 0755. Which means that the "Owner" has write access.

Looking at it, by 'plugins/files', is files the name of the civicrm folder? Or the entire plugins folder? There's no 'files' folder within plugins, so can only assume it's the civicrm folder, however this is currently set to 0755 as well.

EDIT: I've managed to sort the permissions out, turns out I had to create another directory called files, now it's just the create temp privileges in MYSQL, tried using a grant permissions script but it gave me error 1044 then error 1064. So not sure what's going on.

I would suggest you ask your host for support.
