Cancel and Delete Behave Same Way for Scheduled and Sent Mailings
June 19, 2012, 06:40:32 am
Hi,

At

Mailings => Scheduled and Sent Mailings

Under More the behavior of Delete and Cancel are the same. In both cases the mailing is deleted. I was hoping that Cancel would just undo the scheduling of the mailing and put the mailing back into Draft and Unscheduled mailings.

I'm using CiviCRM 4.1.2 on a Drupal 7.14 installation.

Thanks,

Shai Gluskin

Did you look in archived mailings? On the demo site  I found the cancelled mailing there.

Even if the cancelled mailing does get placed into the archive, while it is not deleted, this still doesn't feel like this is the best option. Cancelling a scheduled mailing suggests to me, as it does to Shai, that the schedule is removed and the mailing should logically revert to being a draft.
