Using civievent for managing research projects
June 20, 2012, 03:43:37 pm
Has anyone customized CiviEvent in order to track research project proposals? Our organization receives proposals or suggestions online about potential ecological restoration projects. We need to track the proposing constituent, details of the project, location, any potential funding sources, potential contributing constituents that can provide subject matter expertise and the staff member assigned to liaison the project.  It seems like I could add some custom fields to CiviEvent to enable this. But has anyone done anything similar and with what level of success? Any other ideas? We are using CiviCRM with Wordpress and are in the configuration stages.  Thanks for any advice or help.

Cheers!
Dawn

not heard of the above but if you can warp it to fit  ;). You might also want to appraise yourself of how civicase manages such multistep processes
