Word Replacement
June 21, 2012, 10:47:45 am
Hi all, I'm new to CiviCRM but love what I see so far. Version 4.1 and I'm looking to have the word Constituent replaced with Client. I have set them up in the Adminstration menu but this doesn't seem to work. After setting and enabling the replacement is there another step that I have missed?

Make sure the Enabled checkbox is checked for that row in word replacements screen. Do NOT check 'Exact Match' in this case since that 'word' appears in strings with other words (e.g. 'Constituent Report'). It's also possible that a few instances of that string aren't localised - which would cause it not to "translate". If above doesn't help, post back w/ specific places that are not changing (recreating on public demo is best).

Is it at all possible to use Word Replacement to change the Page Titles ... I would like the /civicrm?reset=1 page to say something other than "CiviCRM Home". If not with word replace how can this be done.

Seems to work for me (tested in 4.2 alpha sandbox w/ Drupal 7) -

Check enabled, "CiviCRM Home" replace with "My Other Title" and check "exact match" then Save.
