Blank Page after Installation
June 24, 2012, 03:36:01 pm
I have followed the instructions on the installation documentation for the WordPress Version.  I am getting a blank form when I go to   /wp/wp-admin/admin.php?page=CiviCRM.

I am using WordPress 3.4  The latest CiviCRM for Word press..

In the Log i am getting this message.

[24-Jun-2012 22:31:44] PHP Warning: array_key_exists() [<a href='function.array-key-exists'>function.array-key-exists</a>]: The first argument should be either a string or an integer in /home2/talkand1/public_html/tnhandsandvoices/wp/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/capabilities.php on line 14

I am new to this and currently want to test this out for an organization.

Thanks!

Can u be more specific with the civi version u r using. I'm assuming u r using 4.1.x

I dont think anyone has tested compatibility with WP 3.4. Your best bet would be to use WP 3.3

Would be great if some WP + Civi developers could test and ensure that 4.2.alpha works with WP 3.4.

Thank you Lobo for getting back with me.

The version is 4.1.3,   I did downgrade from 3.4 to 3.3 with no success. Could it be permission on the CiviCrm directory AND the FILE directory?  It's not completely clear as how I set the Attribute on " civicrm" and "file" directories,

When I right click on "civicrm" directory and select File Permission  I am given RWE (Read, Write, Execute)  for Owner, Group and Public...   Owner and Group have Read, Write, Access.  The Public has Read and Execute

Thanks!

I've located the CRM/Utils/File.php.   The file is there but NO data.  File size is ZERO.
Thanks!

yes, which means there was a problem with transferring and extracting the files on the server. Might want to redo the process and ensure you do not have any zero length files

CiviCRM 4.1 works fine with WordPress 3.4 and WordPress 3.4.1

Initial tests look just fine.

Hi,

I'm not meaning to hijack this post, but I have exactly the same problem with civicrm 4.1.5 under wordpress 3.4 and was wondering if there was a solution.

I'm developing an updated WP site on my localhost (for thorough testing before I take down the old WP 2.x !! site and replace it).

I've gone through the civicrm install, and get the 'civicrm has been successfully installed' message but when I click on civicrm in the nav it just goes blank screen with no sub menu options.

I double checked permissions (as in this post) and they were all set OK to allow the installer to write etc, and the CRM/utils/file.php is about 14kb

So I'm not sure why its not fully installing.

Any help really appreciated.

Clare.

PS if you want me to start a new post please let me know.

Can you check your logs for an error message? Also please confirm how much memory PHP has and your PHP and MySQL versions.

MySQL version 5.5.16

php error log has no errors (I've checked error logging is enabled).

I'm not sure. Check that the wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm.settings.php file is there.

Perhaps try to install CiviCRM on WP 3.4 on a subdomain or subdirectory on your live host. Perhaps there's something odd with your local setup.
