Question: How to edit Address Name field (CiviCRM 3.4.x)
June 25, 2012, 01:09:54 pm
Hi all,

I recently discovered that someone had mapped a profile field for the Main Street Address on a membership signup form to the Address Name field.

Name, Main... Well they sound similar don't they  ::)

Anyway, I've reconfigured the profile to prevent further issues but I wonder if someone can let me know how to edit the Address Name field for a particular contact. My plan is to create a Drupal view to provide me a list of all contact records that contain data in that field and then edit as required.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Andrew

Enable that field in the UI from Administer > Localisation > Address Setting (civicrm/admin/setting/preferences/address?reset=1). Then you can edit it in contact edit.

You can potentially fix these using Batch Update via Profile by creating a profile that has that field and any others you want to view / update. User guide should have an overview of how to use that feature in the Profiles section.

Thanks Dave,

That is exactly what I was looking for! I've just enabled it and am well on my way.

Cheers,
Andrew
