Path Error After Migrating to New Server.
June 26, 2012, 08:25:45 am
I had an instance of CiviCRM hosted under my main account with bluehost.com. Recently I decided to move it out to its own account (on bluehost.com). I was successful in getting WordPress up and running but when I attempt to launch CiviCRM from WordPress I receive the following error:

Oops! - The path for including CiviCRM code files is not set properly. Most likely there is an error in the civicrm_root setting in your CiviCRM settings file (/home2/cccpennd/public_html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm.settings.php).

» civicrm_root is currently set to: /wp-content/plugins/civicrm/.
I've tried several different variations of the path and none of them have worked...including /home2/cccpennd/public_html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave

One approach is to make a fresh database, then remove that file and reinstall CiviCRM. Then it sets up the settings in the settings file for you. Then you just edit the settings file and "point" it to the real database.
