Soft Credit Report Weirdness
June 28, 2012, 11:12:05 am
Hey folks, I've searched and can't find existing posts on this.  I'm experiencing 2 things with the soft credit report, and have attached a screenshot.

1.  First is that a couple of the soft credit names are not displaying.  You can see the horizontal line in the shot where Larry Kay's and Tom McSorley's donations are not showing their soft credit assignments.  But when those contribs are opened up you can see that they have indeed been assigned, to Boysen H and Mike E  respectively.  In fact I've found that a contrib won't even show in that report UNLESS it has a soft credit assigned to it.  So help on that please?

2.  The other issue is that the report seems to not aggregate as I would expect it to.  Why have a column noting aggregate amounts if there isn't a running total included or organized by the soft credit assignment?  Notice Boysen H as an example having a number of credits with no aggregation.

Your help appreciated!!

hi keith,

i am expecting to have to troubleshoot this report soon, as we have a new group that is using soft credits extensively.

i would first test your assumptions by asking 1) what do you expect the report to do?

better yet, what is the report that you need?

someone will need to go into the report and look at what the aggregate column is supposed to be doing. it could be that you need to group things in order for the aggregate column to come into play.
