i have 64 Fund Raising Pages. The only difference is what type of fund. I have created 64 contribution types and 64 contribution pages.

Is it possible to create just one page and let the user select the type of fund he is sponsoring for?

One way is create a custom data field and include in a profile and include this in the contribution page. The problem with this approach is this profile displays after the amount. Instead of doing this, is it possible to include the custom field as part of the contribution page without using the profile? ie I want the donor to select type of fund he is donating first and then enter the amount and credit card details.

Try this:

Go to Administer-->CiviContribute-->Contribution types. From here you can configure any number of contribution types.

Also when configuring the Page,When you are given the add profile option, you migt put the profile at the top of the page.
