Hey Community,

I have looked for an answer to this question for a few days, and also for a few hours on this forum. I hope I'm not reposting something old, but I have a feeling I might be.

What I would like to do is send an email to an admin user (finance staff member) , when a certain action happens, like when a member renews or a new member signs up.

Is this functionality possible with civi, or is this something that will involve extending core functionality?

I found an answer to my own question through contribution pages. :-X

There is an option under the "Receipt" tab, that allows you to enter a "CC Receipt To" email address. This will send an email to whoever you choose, when a contribution is made, in my case when a membership contribution is made.

Civi is great. Keep up the good work.

yes - you can also specify an email in the Advanced Settings of any profile, whether you use that profile for a Contribution or Event page or just as a standalone profile
