CiviMail probs since upgrading to 4.1.3 (Joomla) - recipient count wrong
July 03, 2012, 07:00:27 am
Hi

Since upgrading to 4.1.3 from 4.0 (Joomla 2.5.6), I've had a number of problems with mailouts:
 - a mailing set up to a smart group of 386 records (active, current members) show Total Recipients in CiviMail as 260.
 - when this mailing is run after sending the 260 mails it does not change status to 'complete' but would continue to appear to send the same set of emails out again (until I stopped the cron) - as displayed in the report. None of these members seem to have received a second copy, but the report suggests they have.
 - the 'scheduled and sent mailings' page shows this mailing as still running. if I try to 'cancel' the mailing it redirects me to ?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/mailing/browse&action=disable&mid=34&reset=1 (ie find a mailing page) and doesn't cancel the mailing.
 - an attempt was made to manually add the 126 people who didn't receive a mailing to a new group and send to them. However the recipient list for these is set at just 2.

Things I've done so far:
 - compared the Joomla user groups of those who've received and not received mailings - there's no pattern
 - double checked the 'on hold', 'bounced', 'do not mail' - none are set
 - double checked the smtp settings & settings.php - mailing is going fine.
 - I can't see anything with the permissions that should be getting in the way

Other things of note - ioncube is on the server for another component, and openbase_dir is enabled - but I don't think these are interfering with this. I've also posted about this at the foot of a similar thread ( http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,24743.0.html ).

Any suggestions would be much appreciated - as we've not been able to resolve this now for a few weeks.

thanks
Nic

Sorry to bump, but does anyone have an idea about this? Should I post to another place?
CiviMail has been working fine for a year before this upgrade.

thanks
Nic
