I have an event where we would like to include a number of event registrations to sponsors who donate at a certain level. We would like to include either 16, 12 or 8 registrations to the event with "sponsorship" donations.

Does anyone know how to accomplish this or point me to a resource to figure this out?

I did something similar in Drupal on an older version of CiviCRM. I don't think there is a simple way to do it.

What I did then, IIRC, was to setup a price set with one item being zero. Then if a person made the required donation, his "additional participants" pages had a bit of JS which would check off the zero value price set option and hide the whole price set.

For users who did not make that required donation, it would check off the regular value and the hide the price set.

That is one approach to doing it.
