What happend to translations.civicrm.org at 13:30 CET (27.02.08) ?

Hi!

I was happily translating CiviCRM from English to German via the Pootle interface of translations.civicrm.org when suddenly the server wasn't available any more. 5 minutes later the server is back online, but A LOT of translations have disappeared! What happend? Can someone check this, please?

Many thanks,
Gerhard

Yes, as previously announced, we’re hitting string freeze today (along with the 2.0.beta3 release). We did quite a clean-up of all the source strings over the past couple of days, and so quite a lot of them changed.

In most cases the changes were small, and so the translated strings got demoted to the ‘fuzzy’ status and they just need a review.

In the future, such situations won’t happen, as we won’t open the translation area before string freeze; also, no further string changes will happen to the 2.0 strings.
If you found the above helpful, please consider helping us in return – you can even steer CiviCRM’s future and help us extend CiviCRM in ways useful to you.

Ok.

Is there an easy way to filter for fuzzified translations? To go through all translations to find the fuzzy-marked ones is quite cumbersome...

thx in advance

Unforntunately, not in Pootle. However, if you use "Quick translate", it will iterate you only through untranslated and fuzzy strings, so this might be of some help.

Not sure about other tools.

Thx,
