Hey guys,

This service is pretty useful in the UK.  It allows you to look up geo political administrative information from things like postcode or lat and long.  A global version has just been released: http://global.mapit.mysociety.org/ based on open street map data, which might be v. useful for civicrm users interested in collecting this kind of data.

We wrote a simple uk version of the module: https://github.com/michaelmcandrew/civimapit which could easily be extended to other countries or made global.

Thought it was worth shouting about a little bit.
