Working jQuery app ( CiviMobile ) for CiviCRM 4.x
July 09, 2012, 12:50:09 pm
Hi!  Thanks for reading.

I have had developed for a client project a jQuery app for Civi, which allows add and edit of most entities, and does some nice things like click to call, click to Google map, click to email...

I am trying to locate the sponsors of the Make it Happen so that I can verify with them that my app meets their needs.

A few screenshots are attached.

thanx for engaging on a public forum

1. Would be great if you can make your code available along with installation instructions on github or any open repository under an OSI approved open source license.

2. With contribution from kyle, xavier, peter, erawat, rajesh and others we've got a fair amount of code available on github. Our current target is to centralize, package and ship the code with the 4.3 release. You can track development of this here:

https://github.com/kurund/CiviMobile

we hope to switch focus to 4.3 once 4.2 goes into beta (later this week?)

Would be great to incorporate some of the things you might have done which is not part of the codebase

Thanks for the reply and our apologies for letting this slip a little down the timeline a bit.

I'm working with Ken on this mobile project, and we are about to launch a beta version of the app for our University. We're interested in learning more about the MIH initiative and how we might be in touch with the sponsors of the project to see if what we've prepared meets the requirements laid out in the MIH CiviMobile project description.

Down the road, we would be happy to contribute the code to the bigger project, but we're still early in the process exploring our own needs, trying to feel out how MIH works, and whether the work we've done meets the general requirements to warrant consideration for MIH funding (or if we misunderstand MIH given it's presentation on the site).

Thanks for your help and thoughts.
