Please start a new post for your problem since this post is quite old (and doesn't have a resolution either). You'll need to update your forum profile so folks know what version of CiviCRM, what CMS and version, PHP and MySQL you're using. If this is a production emergency you might want to get paid help from:

Anyone trying to help you will need quite a bit more detail as well about the problem. Does it affect all registrations? Did you make some changes to the Price Set that triggered this? Can you see the correct info when you "view" the participant record (as opposed to editing it)? Have you dug into the civicrm_line_item table in the DB to see if entries are stored there? etc.
