Custom Fields and Addressee / Email Greeting / Postal Greeting
July 12, 2012, 10:01:37 am
Can custom fields be used in Addressee / Email Greeting / Postal Greeting fields? What's the correct syntax. I've tried {table_name.field_name} format with no luck.

i dont remember if they can be used or not, but might want to try using the syntax:

{custom_FIELDID}. Pretty sure if it works it will only work for contact custom fields

can you post back once you check and see if it works or not

I'm WAY overdue posting back here, but in checking on my old posts (which I just learned how to easily do - when all else fails, read what's on the screen :) ) I realized I owe a response for anyone who may stumble upon this thread in the future.

The actual format that worked for us is {contact.custom_FIELDID}.

Sorry for the delayed response!
