De-Link Improperly Records Improperly Matched After Import
July 15, 2012, 03:15:21 pm
Hi Guys, we're just curious.. if a record, after import, is "improperly matched," ie drupal user account displays diff civi record than the one it should , and that record is in turn inside another drupal user account, but the civi records are correctly merged does anyone know an easy way to simply "de-link"the user account from the (otherwise correct) civi record. We've tried all sorts of things, such as syncing to create a (new) corresponding civi record that we could then merge the correct civi profile data into, and then do something under find/merge duplicate contacts. The import is otherwise okay and these are just a few records out a few thousand so we can;t really start from scratch. Just wondering if there is anything easier or more sensible than simply deleting the user accounts that are FUBAR and asking the impacted to users to re-register on the live site. any help appreciated!

I should add that this langauge comes up when doing a merge of two of the apparent same user accounts and may provide a clue :" There are Drupal user accounts associated with both the original and duplicate contacts. If you continue with the merge, the user record associated with the duplicate contact will not be deleted, but will be un-linked from the associated contact record (which will be deleted). If that user logs in again, a new contact record will be created for them."
