Exporting membership data
February 27, 2008, 02:12:39 pm
We'd like to be able to export to CSV not only contact info for members, but also the membership info (type of membership, join date, start date, end date)... and potentially even the status (new, current, expired, etc.).

Is there any way to do this?

I found this page which suggests that membership info should be exported as well, but it doesn't appear in my CSV file.

This page describes what I've attempted, but there is no membership information in the dropdowns to select for export.

If you choose the "Export" action from this page:

http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/member/search?reset=1&force=1

you get an export file with the following header

Code: [Select]
"Contact ID","Membership ID","Contact Type","Display Name","Membership Type","Start Date","End Date","Source","Status","Test","Member Since","Street Address","Supplemental Address 1","Supplemental Address 2","City","Postal Code","Postal Code Suffix","State","Country","Geo Code 1","Geo Code 2","Email","Phone","IM Screen Name"

The user does not have control over what fields are exported. We are planning to make export for the various components more configurable in v2.1. But the above export fives you all the information you've asked for :)

But note the problem I am reporting on elsewhere  :-\  about the system mis-exporting IMHO additional records - http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,2542.msg10832.html#msg10832

Thanks Lobo! It looks like exactly what I need. Rather have too much info than too little at this point. ;)

I'll have to see if the issue you raise effects me, Peter.
