Redirect does not work

Hi,

I have a petition and the profiles are created and function pretty good. Except once the petition is signed, and therefore the form completed and submitted, I need it to redirect to a donor contribution page.

Both my Activity and Contact profiles for this petition are set to redirect to said contribution form but instead of redirecting, I'm just getting the arbitrary Thank You page instead.

Not sure where to go from here. Any help appreciated.

I just checked the petition signature code and it always redirects to the thankyou page.

Ideally you'd want to have a url field in the petition information for the redirect url if different from the default. But seems like the functonality has not yet been added to the code base

If you org can contribute developer resources to make this happen that would be great. Seems like this is a fairly short simple project

Has redirect code been added/updated in 4.3+ by any chance?

Lobo  - Joe's interest is on redirecting event pages rather than petitions. Do you think adding post_URL to the event (& possibly contribution page tables ) would make sense here?

I guess it would kick in when loading the thank you page

i'd probably say no for now since this does not seem to be a common enough request and is best dealt with an extension (storing data in its own tables)
