Billing Address Same as above using main.extra.tpl issue

I have created a custom Main.extra.tpl file to add a "Billing Address Same as above" checkbox and code from this wiki http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC41/Add+%27Same+as+billing+address%27+button+for+convenience.

Everything works great except for the state field does not copy. I verified that I am using the correct location type. Does anyone have any ideas why the state would not work using this code?

Might want to ensure that the country is also present and first copy the country over before copying the state/province over.

You'll need to do some debugging and tweaking of the code to get it to work

That feature should be in core in 4.2. We are running a patched version of 4.1.3 with it (& some other 4.2 backports) (git@github.com:fuzionnz/civicrm.git)
