$36 for 1 ticket, or $30 each for 2 or more tickets?
July 23, 2012, 10:29:22 pm
Folks,

I have a need to set up an event so that a person is charged $36 for 1 ticket, or $30 each for 2 or more tickets.

I could have two fields (1) a checkbox for a single ticket of $36 and (2) a numeric field for $30 tickets, and then rely on people not buying a single ticket for $30

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Ken

You can use jQuery to change the price as the number of tickets changes. Not sure if the backend would also need customization--you would have to run a test to see.

I would go with option 2 and then use jQuery to validate that the numeric field is 2 or more.

Seems a lot cleaner and clearer to folks buying tickets

Thanks for your thoughts, guys!

We might just leave it as I described, as we often get people wanting to buy 1 more ticket, and for that case we want to charge them $30.
