Problem with install on joomla 2.5
July 24, 2012, 08:51:11 am
Firstly apologies if this issue has already been logged, I did look through the forum and couldn't find anything.

I have a 2.5 joomla install within a shared hosting environment running on v 5.5.25 of mysql. When I try to install it (either by uploading or by using the tmp method) it looks as if its going through fine, but then all of a sudden returns to the extension install screen, with no civicrm options in the components menu. However having looked at the database, there are created tables for civiwiki?! I am desperate to get this solution up and running for our charity, please HELP!

Best wishes,

Adam.

most likely this is due to some limitation with your shared hosting provider.

You might want to ask them to check their logs and/or upgrade to a better hosting plan. CiviCRM is a resource intensive component and requires a fair amount of cpu and memory
