KCFinder image upload folder
July 30, 2012, 11:06:42 pm
I am going slightly mad trying to get KCFinder in CiviCRM 4.1.3 to display images from the same image folder as CKFinder in Drupal 6. The problem is this:
  • The CKFinder in Drupal looks in the folder /sites/default/files/images
  • The KCFinder in CiviCRM looks in /sites/default/files/civicrm/images
I can change the Image Upload URL in CiviCRM to /sites/default/files/images but it has no effect on the location that KCFinder uses, it still uses the folder /sites/default/files/civicrm/images. However if I change the Image Upload URL in CiviCRM (Resource URLs) to /sites/default/files/images I can upload an image using KCFinder (still to /sites/default/files/civicrm/images) but when I try to select that image and include it in the body of, say a mail template, it fails because it is looking in the URL set in the CiviCRM Resource URLs.

So the question is - where can I set the image upload URL for KCFinder in CiviCRM?

Cheers
Martin Fuggle

I found that KCFinder works from the same images directory as Drupal when the CiviCRM setting is

File system path where image files are uploaded.
/sites/default/files/

If you set /sites/default/files/images/ it can't find /sites/default/files/images/images and it uses /sites/default/files/civicrm/images
