civicrm errors on new user registration

Hi all,

I'm getting the following set of errors when submitting a simple civicrm profile form with joomla account creation enabled. The account and the contact both get created in the backend, despite the error. Any ideas?  Thanks in advance!

Upgraded to php 5.3 and i'm no longer getting this error.
