Allowing individuals to edit organisation data

By using the menu item 'Edit profile', I can allow individual users/contacts to edit their own contact entry, but I cannot find a way to let them edit organisation data. I have created a relationship between the individual and the organisation, and given the individual permission to edit the organisation, and yet when I try to access an edit profile page for the organisation through the front end, I get an error message that this is a profile page for organisations and cannot be edited by individuals. Please help!

try using a url like:

task=civicrm/profile/edit&reset=1&gid=ORG_PROFILE_ID&id=USER_ID&cs=ORG_CHECKSUM

as the logged in user. The tricky part is generating the ORG_CHECKSUM, we typically do this as a mailing token
